CADLEAF occupation tool
NOC / TEER Finder
Search or browse NOC 2021 Version 1.0. Narrow occupations by title, NOC code, TEER or broad occupational category, then verify the official occupation profile.
Immigration version: IRCC currently uses the 2021 National Occupational Classification system. CADLEAF keeps this finder on NOC 2021 for that reason. Last checked September 29, 2026.

How to choose a possible NOC
- 1Search your actual job title or browse the classification. Review more than one occupation if several look similar.
- 2Open the official NOC profile. Compare its lead statement and main duties with what you actually did at work.
- 3Review employment requirements and exclusions for context, then check the immigration program’s current rules separately. A NOC code or TEER category alone does not establish eligibility.
Verify after narrowing the match
Use the CADLEAF search and comparison first. Once you have a likely occupation or a short list, compare the official lead statement, main duties, exclusions and current immigration guidance. The source links are grouped at the end of this page.
About this dataset
The finder uses cached NOC 2021 Version 1.0 Statistics Canada data covering the full five-level structure: 10 broad categories, 45 major groups, 89 sub-major groups, 162 minor groups and 516 unit groups, plus official example titles for occupation search. Advanced Search lazy-loads a separate detailed index built from the official NOC classification-structure and Elements data for lead statements, duties, employment requirements, additional information and exclusions.
CADLEAF’s NOC / TEER Finder is an educational search and comparison aid, not an official NOC determination or immigration eligibility assessment. The NOC system and immigration rules can change; current official government information governs.
