About CADLEAF

Hi, I am Manin, the person behind CADLEAF.

CADLEAF is an independent educational project built to make Canadian immigration information easier to find, understand, and verify against official sources.

I work in warehouse operations and inventory, and I built CADLEAF after going through my own immigration process. I often found myself moving between government websites and blogs just to answer straightforward questions. That experience motivated me to create one place where readers can find plain-language explanations, practical tools, and direct links to the official source.

I am completing Queen's University's Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law. I am not currently a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, lawyer, or other authorized immigration representative.

CADLEAF is an educational project and does not provide immigration representation, individualized legal advice, or case assessments. It does not sell immigration services. Articles and tools are designed to help readers prepare better questions and verify the rules that may apply to them.

My long-term goal is to keep improving the site with clear checklists, step-by-step tutorials, transparent corrections, and stronger guidance to official government sources and authorized professionals when personal advice is needed.

Editorial transparency

Source, review, and correction standards

Review dates are meant to help you judge freshness without creating a false promise that immigration rules stayed unchanged after that date. Important decisions should still be checked against the current official source.

Official sources firstArticles and tools prioritize IRCC, Government of Canada, provincial, tribunal, and regulator sources.

What “Last reviewed” meansThe substantive immigration information was checked against current primary sources on that date. A routine wording or style edit does not create a new review date.

What it does not meanA review date is not a guarantee that a rule, form, fee, program instruction, or policy has not changed since. Check the linked official page before acting.

Material corrections stay visibleCorrection history records meaningful factual corrections and important updates. Routine spelling, formatting, or style edits are not listed as corrections.
